🔧 General Service Questions
What materials can you cut?
We work with a wide range of materials, including all common metals, plastics, and wood. If you’re unsure whether your material is compatible, please don't hesitate to ask.
What is your maximum cutting size?
Our laser bed accommodates projects up to 120" x 48". Larger projects can often be tiled or sectioned—contact us for solutions.
Do you offer both engraving and cutting services?
Yes! We offer both laser cutting and precision engraving. This includes vector engraving (line art) and raster engraving (photographic or grayscale images).
Do you provide design services?
Absolutely. If you don’t have a file ready, our in-house design team can help bring your idea to life. Whether you need design from scratch or help polishing an existing file, we've got you covered.
What type of laser equipment do you use?
We utilize high-precision CO₂ and fiber laser machines to handle a wide range of materials with precision, speed, and consistent quality.
📐 File Prep & Design
What file formats do you accept?
We prefer CAD or vector file, such as DXF, STP, PDF, AI, but we can work with just about anything.
Can you help fix my design file?
Yes. We routinely optimize files for laser compatibility and ease of fabrication, whether it’s correcting line weights, adjusting cut paths, or cleaning up artwork.
Can you convert an image into a laser-cuttable design?
Definitely. We can convert logos, sketches, and photos into laser-ready vector formats, suitable for both engraving and cutting.
💲 Pricing & Quotes
How much does laser cutting cost?
Pricing depends on material, design complexity, cutting time, and quantity. We offer per-project and per-minute rates, and we’re happy to provide a fast, no-obligation quote.
Do you have a minimum order?
We have a minimum order fee, but there is no minimum quantity requirement. Whether you need one piece or a hundred, we’re here to help.
Are there any setup fees?
If design or file optimization is required, a setup or design fee may be applicable. We'll always be transparent about pricing before we start.
⏱️ Turnaround Time
What’s your average turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days, depending on complexity and volume. Rush orders can often be accommodated.
Can you do rush jobs?
Yes. Rush service is available at an additional fee. Please let us know your deadline, and we’ll do our best to meet it.
Do you offer local pickup or shipping?
Both! Local pickup is available at our shop in Los Alamitos, CA, and we ship nationwide.
🧪 Materials
Can I supply my own materials?
Yes! We’ll inspect customer-supplied materials to ensure they’re safe and compatible with our machines.
Do you stock materials?
We maintain a small inventory of materials, and can get most materials the next day from our local suppliers.
Will laser cutting cause burns or discoloration of the edges?
Some materials (like wood) naturally darken or char at the edges. We take steps to minimize burn marks where possible and can discuss finishes that reduce this effect.
Can I request a sample or prototype?
Yes. We offer samples and low-volume prototyping to ensure your project is exactly right before full production.
📦 Production & Scaling
Can you handle bulk or repeat orders?
Yes! Whether it’s a one-off custom project or a full production run, we can scale to meet your needs.
Do you offer assembly or packaging?
We offer light assembly and packaging solutions for products, displays, or kits. Let us know your requirements.
Will you keep my design on file for future orders?
Yes, we securely store project files for easy reordering or future edits.
